Lorrie Greening

Lorrie Greening is a dedicated Down The Line Trap shooter who, after a life-changing accident, found new purpose in shooting, earning multiple England caps and the title of ‘Disabled Shooter of the Year.’

About

Lorrie Greening is a dedicated Down The Line Trap shooter who began her journey in 2018. Drawn to the sport by a desire to challenge herself and compete at the highest level, Lorrie quickly set a goal to represent England. Her hard work paid off in 2022 when she earned her first England cap, competing in the British Open DTL and the Home Internationals, where her team took home Gold.

Lorrie’s path to shooting came after a life-altering car accident that resulted in multiple spinal surgeries and left her in a wheelchair. Searching for a way to rebuild her life, she found shooting through her husband and the late Graham Brown at Purbeck Shooting School. Shooting gave Lorrie a new focus, and despite the challenges of competing in a discipline without a Disabled England Team, she committed to earning a place in the able-bodied Ladies England Team. After narrowly missing selection in 2021, she achieved this goal the following year, a proud moment made more emotional by the loss of two key supporters, Graham Brown and Dave Toomer.

In 2023, Lorrie earned her second England cap, representing her country in the Worlds in South Africa, as well as the Europeans, Home Internationals, and British Open in Ireland. That same year, she was named ‘Disabled Shooter of the Year,’ an honour made even more meaningful by the recognition of her peers.

Shooting has given Lorrie a renewed sense of purpose and drive. With the support of her husband, coach, sponsors, and the shooting community, she continues to push herself towards new goals, always working to improve both in the sport and in overcoming personal challenges.
