James Bradley-Day has quickly earned a reputation as one of the leading sporting shooters in the UK. After an outstanding junior career, which included titles at English, British, European, and World levels, James has successfully transitioned to the open category. His achievements include winning the 2018 European Junior Compak Championship, the 2019 World ICTSF Junior title, finishing as runner-up at the 2018 British Open Sporting, and claiming the Beretta World title in 2020. James has also been selected for the GB Senior Compak squad, where he continues to compete at the highest level.
Growing up on his family farm, James developed his shooting skills early on, often spending weekends protecting crops from wood pigeons. This practical experience gave him a strong foundation in reading targets and adapting to different scenarios, which naturally translated into his success in clay shooting.
In addition to competing, James runs JBD Sporting, where he shares his knowledge and experience with others. JBD Sporting offers lessons, coaching, corporate events, simulated game days, mobile clay shooting, course setting, and clay trap hire. James is committed to helping others improve their shooting skills, whether they are beginners or experienced shooters looking to refine their technique.
