Jim Doherty is a skilled clay pigeon shooter from Newtowncunningham, County Donegal. Known for his prowess in the sport, Jim has competed at both national and international levels, and has captained the Irish national clay pigeon shooting team.

In 2011, Jim became the first Irishman to win all four home majors in clay pigeon shooting, a notable achievement in his career. This accomplishment was recognised with the Donegal Sport Star Award in January 2012, an honour not commonly awarded to this sport.

Over the years, Jim has competed in Ireland, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, the Caribbean, and South Korea.

Outside of shooting, Jim enjoys Gaelic games and rugby union, showing his love for sport doesn’t stop at clay shooting.
